Google Scholar is a search engine that searches specifically for scholarly materials such as journal articles, research reports, dissertations and theses, preprints, technical reports, patents, manuscripts in preparation, working papers, and many other document types.

There are two ways you can connect to library resources when searching in Google Scholar: LibKey Nomad or Google Scholar "Library Links:"
LibKey Nomad is a browser extension that allows you to identify if scholarly articles behind a paywall are available through the Chicago School Library, whether you find them in Google Scholar, PubMed, Wikipedia, or journal publisher websites.

Library Links enables users of Google Scholar to easily link from results in Google Scholar to the full text of articles and other electronic materials licensed by the university library. Once you have configured Google Scholar Library Links, you'll see a link (Find it @ TCS) in the results list for items that can be accessed via The Chicago School Library.
1) Go to Google Scholar at https://scholar.google.com. In the the upper left corner of the Google Scholar page, click the Menu bar
2) Go to Settings
3) On the Settings page, click on "Library Links"
4) Search TCS
5) Check mark "The Community Solution Libraries-Find it @ TCS" option
6) Click "Save"
Now when you search Google Scholar, you'll see "Find it @ TCS" links, which indicates the item is available full text through the library.
Often a simple keyword search will help you find what you need. However, there are times when you may want to have more control over what your search does. You may want to control the publication date, search for results by a particular author or in a particular journal, give synonyms, or remove unwanted results. in these cases, the Advanced Scholar Search menu can help.
Click on the menu bar on the top left side of the page to access the Advanced Search:
